Marti is a leading figure in the “food as medicine” field, specializing in the treatment and prevention of chronic diseases through culinary nutrition education and mind-body practices. She is founder of MW Culinary Wellness, LLC, a Culinary Nutrition and Wellness practice based in NYC. She provides private and public cooking classes, one-on-one counseling, corporate wellness presentations and workshops. She is a nationally recognized educator who has been passionately transforming people’s awareness around their health for 15 years.
She is currently on faculty with the Center for Mind Body Medicine and the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy. In 2014, Marti was a TEDx Cape May speaker. She has been a featured chef in the media on ABC Channel 7 Eyewitness News, Shape Magazine, News Channel 12 Connecticut, mindbodygreen.com, and www.droz.com.
Marti has a degree in Exercise Physiology and Dance and is a Masters candidate in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States. She is a graduate of The Natural Gourmet Institute where she currently teaches in the public program. Her commitment to a healthy lifestyle stems from her years as a dancer, where nutrition and physical conditioning were imperative to preventing injury. With an extensive background in cooking, nutrition, movement, and mind-body medicine, Marti believes in an individualized whole-person approach to health and healing.

Food is information for every cell in your body. Therefore, what you eat directly impacts your productivity in the workplace and your sense of well being. In this 60- minute consult, Marti will teach you how eating for greater wellness can be sustainable and nourishing for your lifestyle. A customized plan will be created based on your health needs and food interests. This may includes dietary recommendations, weekly cycle menu, shopping lists, recipes, breathing, and mindfulness exercises. Marti has worked with people managing: asthma, allergies, autoimmune conditions, cancer, diabetes, weight gain/loss, gastrointestinal problems, acid reflux, ADD/ADHD, adrenal fatigue, insomnia, and body image issues.
